MacTarnahan's Blackwatch Porter wins Gold Medal at Great American Beer Festival!

On October 14, 2008 at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO MacTarnahan's Blackwatch Porter was awarded the Gold Medal in the Brown Porter category! This marks the 2nd GABF medal for the tasty Blackwatch Porter, which was awarded gold in 2001.

Crafted using a combination of Black, Special Roast, and Caramel 2-Row malts and a blend of Northern Brewer, EKG, and Willamette hops. IBU : 27 ABV 5.3%

2008 has been a banner year for MacTarnahan's Brewing. In April MacTarnahan's Amber Ale won a Gold Medal at this year's World Beer Cup Championships.

The award winning Blackwatch Porter is available in draft, 6-pack and 22 oz bottles at various retail outlets, and of course at our brewery taprooms in Portland, Seattle, and Berkeley.
